From a New York City Bus Ride to a Global Basketball Community: The Solepack Story

One of the most rewarding parts of building Solepack has been seeing the journey documented by people who truly understand basketball, sneaker culture, and community.

A huge thank you to our UK family at The Urban Syndicate for taking the time to share the Solepack story and spotlight the path that brought us here. Here's a litle bit of what they shared:

Like many great ideas, Solepack was born out of necessity. What started as a daily struggle carrying basketball sneakers across New York City eventually became an idea, a prototype, a patent, and ultimately a brand built for athletes, travelers, sneakerheads, and creators always on the move. From cutting apart old backpacks to developing a functional sneaker-carrying system, the journey has been fueled by persistence, creativity, and a passion for solving real-world problems.

Over the years, Solepack has grown through grassroots support and the collective efforts of an incredible community. Alongside partners Sameer Walia and Willard Brown, we've been fortunate to collaborate with iconic brands such as AND1 and Viola while receiving support from basketball legends and cultural leaders who believe in our mission.

But Solepack has always been about more than backpacks.

At its core, Solepack is a celebration of basketball culture, sneaker culture, creativity, travel, and self-expression. Through NBALAB projects, HOOPBUS initiatives, NBA activations, global collaborations, and community-driven storytelling, we've worked to create products and experiences that connect people through the game we love.

Most importantly, none of this happens alone.

We're grateful for every photographer, creator, collaborator, customer, athlete, and small business owner who has helped us PACK and build a culture unlike any other. The stories, images, events, and partnerships are what continue to bring the Solepack mission to life.

From New York City to communities around the world, we're proud to continue growing with authenticity and purpose.

Because at the end of the day, Solepack was never about chasing hype.

It's always been about the people.
