"Reflection' by Specified Fiction

Posted by on

We recently had the honor to do a very special collaboration with Miami-based artist, Jonathan Desrosiers AKA Specified Fiction. We came together to create an especially powerful and meaningful message titled, “Reflection”. The piece continues the celebration of Black History and the ongoing fight for racial equality in our country. Our original GRF string bag serves as a unique canvas for Jonathan to work on, and we could not be happier with how it turned out.

Jonathan was influenced to create this design by the defining pillars, moments, and symbols in history. The main intent was to showcase vital moments of the civil rights movement. In Jonathan’s own words, “the back of the bag signifies the progression of the civil rights movement and major landmarks that shaped the future for young black men and women”.

“The front of the bag highlights various articles and icons who used their voices to dismantle the racial divide. I wanted to show how far we have already came, and where we are heading to in the future”.

Being able to create something with Jonathan was truly a humbling experience. We were able to create a visual, moving piece of art and expressions that amplifies the voices and struggle of the oppressed. It is our duty to use our voice, platform and product to highlight the injustices in our society and fight for what is right!

We want to extend our biggest thanks and gratitude to Jonathan Desrosiers AKA Specified Fiction and The Artcodes team, for partnering up with us on this special collaboration.
